We’re currently working hard on a completely new version of Menuette (version 3.0), and we did not intend to release any other version between Menuette 2.0.1 and Menuette 3.0.
However, it turns out that Menuette 2.0.1 has a cosmetic bug that makes the Menuette control panel window appear too small when used with Mac OS 8. While this bug is not harmful and doesn’t cause problems when running the Menuette system extension, it makes it difficult to change the Menuette 2.0.1 settings with Mac OS 8.
To make sure that Mac OS 8 users can avoid this problem while waiting for Menuette 3.0, we’re releasing this interim version 2.0.2 of Menuette, which fixes the problem mentioned above. This version of Menuette has been tested with Mac OS 8, and works properly.
However, this is only an interim release, and we expect to have Menuette 3.0 available very soon — so we ask that you please do not redistribute this version of Menuette. If you obtained this version from somewhere other than the Tiger Technologies Web site, please let us know (and check our Web site to see if Menuette 3.0 is available).
